The Clippers are serious about changing their status from tier two team to taking over the number one spot. The Clippers have signed ex-Nugget Kenyon Martin to a mini-midlevel deal for $2.5 million. The move shores up the Clippers big man rotation which as of now consists of Reggie Evans (great “enforcer type player, gets you rebounds but not a scorer) and Brian Cook (yeahhhhhhhhh, I got nothing).

This past weekend in L.A. Jamie Foxx held his 3rd annual Summer Slam charity event. The day started at noon with a 3 on 3 tournament as well as a live auction. Several of your favorite NBA stars were on hand to participate as well as donate money. There were two 3 on 3 tournaments, one featuring celebrities vs. celebrities and one featuring NBA players vs NBA players with each NBA team also having a celebrity coach. The event was sponsored by Under Armour
Proceeds from the event raised nearly 1/2 million dollars for the Jamie Foxx Foundation and the Pacific Lodge Youth Services.

Kenyon Martin Signs Biggest Contract In CBA History With Xinjiang Flying Tigers

After spending the last 7 years with the Denver Nuggets, Kenyon Martin becomes the 54th NBA player- and the fifth Nuggets player- to sign with a team overseas.
Martin, who is an NBA free agent, has signed with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China. And no, there is no NBA out-clause. The league ends February 16th. Martin’s Martin’s one-year deal will pay him $2.65 million said to be the largest contract in CBA history.
I wonder if these guys are bringing “company” with them. WHAT???? That’s a long time to be in another country ALONE when you’re used to the NBA life.
