Robinson Cano just inked a new deal with the Seattle Mariners that will pay him $240 million over the next 10 years. The mother of Cano’s 3 year old son, Jackelin Castro, claims that Cano is an absent dad who is often late with his $600 per month child support payments. On Thursday, a judge in Santo Domingo ruled Cano will have to provide an additional $600 a month.
She said she’s been struggling to raise the child on the seemingly paltry amount Cano is supposed to pay. She says the only other income she received is $100 a month from the Dominican Ministry of Sports for training and coaching young female volleyball players, a sport she used to play.
Castro is asking for $25,000 per month.
