Lakers land Cavs pg Ramon Sessions in trade

Dwight Howard may be staying put to reek havoc on Magic fans for at least another year (no extension signed means delaying this process yet another year albiet on a quieter level, lesson learned) but the Lakers did something to address their point guard woes.

The Lakers and Cavs have agreed to a trade for pg Ramon Sessions in exchange for a future draft pick. The Cavs also send  Christian Eyenga to the Lakers and veteran forward Luke Walton plus Jason Kapono will be going to the Cavs. I suspect Luke Walton will be retiring soon anyway. He hasn’t been a factor in forever.  Sessions contract is $4.2 million this season and $4.5 million for next year. The guard averaged 10 points and 5 assists with the Cavs.

See, no giving up any of the Lakers front line. Now if they can somehow mange to acquire Michael Beasley without giving up Pau or Andrew, I’d have a renewed faith in the Lakers making it back to the Western Conference finals. Well that and a few more road wins! Shout out to the Lakers winning Wednesday night in New Orleans.
