Kendrick Perkins Arrested For Public Intoxication After Attempting To Fight Nightclub Manager

Sounds as if Kendrick Perkins was having a little too much fun Friday night. Kendrick was having a charity event this weekend in Beaumont, Texas but a couple of incidents put a damper on the festivities.

Perkins was arrested in Beaumont early Saturday morning and booked into the Jefferson County jail around 4:00a.m.on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. The charges are a class C misdemeanor. Per Texas penal code 12.23, an individual guilty of a class C misdemeanor shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500. Perkins posted bond of $150 shortly after being booked and were released.

Apparently Perkins was trying to fight the manager of a nightclub named “The Ticket”, and random other people outside of the club. In addition to this arrest, Thursday Perkins had an accident at Stephen Jackson’s home in Port Arthur. KFDM confirmed a 27 year old male was taken from Jackson’s home by ambulance to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, treated for minor injuries and released.

The celebrity exhibition game was canceled. Rajon Rondo, Eric Maynor, and Kevin Durant were all scheduled to appear.

**Update** Bucks player Stephen Jackson was not arrested with Perkins
