Giants Victor Cruz makes it official with Jay Z’s “Roc Nation Sports”

In a move that has been expected for months, Giants receiver Victor Cruz is now under the “Roc Nation Sports” umbrella. Cruz didn’t have to fire his agent or even make any major adjustments like Yankees Robinson Cano. Cruz’s agent Tom Condon was affiliated with CAA prior to this deal. The expectation is that Cruz’s affiliation with Jay-Z will impact his endorsement deals. The interesting thing about that is that his girlfriend, Elania Wately was previously heavily involved with putting together deals for him. Wonder where she lies in this whole equation.

The Giants have placed a first-round tender on Cruz which means they’ll receive a first-round pick for him if another team offers him a contract New York chooses not to match. Sources say Cruz is being offered $7 million per season with $20 million guaranteed but Cruz is reportedly looking for $10 million or more.

It’s the ROC!

What would be the first endorsement deal you can see Roc Nation securing for Victor Cruz?
