Louisville’s Kevin Ware delivers the top 10 list on “Late show with David Letterman” [video]

Kevin Ware is turning lemons into lemonade. After suffering a horrid injury during Louisville’s elite 8 game against Duke on Sunday, Ware has become a media darling. Displaying a positive attitude and sense of humor, that landed him on “The Late Show with David Letterman” running down the top 10 list. Check it out:

10. What was that loud cracking sound?
9. I hope this doesn’t leave a bruise.
8. Hey, look—my tibia!
7. Ouch.
6. Did it go in?
5. Oh, boy… hospital food!
4. Tape it up, coach, I’m staying in.
3. They fired Leno?
2. Heat, then ice, or ice, then heat?
1. At least my bracket’s not busted.

Ware is from Atlanta so he’ll be in attendance for Louisvile’s “Final Four” appearance this weekend. Adidas has created special warm ups for the team to rock before their game Saturday against Wichita State and is selling a shirt inspired by the incident.

As reported by USA Today Sports, today the university announced that the school will not profit from the sale of the shirts.

The school “proactively decided to waive any traditional licensing royalties revenue connected to the No. 5 graphic to be worn by the team on the court,”

“The shirt was created as a respectful tribute to honor Kevin within NCAA trademark apparel parameters, and allow fans to rally around the team. Because of that, Adidas is contributing a portion of every sell to the university’s scholarship fund,”

Adidas has also issued a statement:

We are happy to support Louisville fans who wish to honor a player and rally around the team during the most important moments of their season. The shirt was intended as a respectful tribute and because of that, a portion of every sale will go to the university’s scholarship fund.”
