Russell Westbrook; What type of boyfriend is he, what he likes about his girlfriend Nina & why Kevin Durant calls him “Sasha Fierce”

We spend a lot of time discussing Russell Westbrook’s fashion choices. At this point for me, there’s not a lot of new information there. So let’s talk about another area with Russ, what type of boyfriend is he? Russ has been dating Nina Earl since they both attended UCLA and played hoops there. Currently Nina is earning her Masters Degree in Psychology, that’s what he likes about her, that she’s smart and ambitious. Take note ladies, brains can hook a baller too.

Check out a few other things you never knew about Russell:

What kind of boyfriend are you?
I’m simple, man, real simple.

Not the flowers and candy type?
Naw, not from me.

what do you like about Nina?

she’s a smart girl. She’s in school right now, trying to get her master’s in psychology. She knows what she wants to do in life, which is great. That’s easy for me to cope with.

You hearing wedding bells?
We shall see. [He smiles.] We shall see.

Who’s your first call or text after the game?
My first text is my girlfriend. My first call is my mom and dad. We talk after every game. We talk before every game.

Oh, another thing you may not have known about Russ, his Thunder teammate Kevin Durant refers to him as “Sasha Fierce,” yes, as in Beyoncé’s alter ego.

“Oh, he’s a diva,” says Westbrook’s co-star for the Thunder. “I call him Sasha Fierce. On the court, he’s a fierce competitor. Off the court, he’s chilling in front of the mirror, making sure he got the right lip balm on.”

The Thunder are right now a 1/2 game behind the Spurs for the top spot in the West.
