For the second time, in as many games, the Lakers failed to close out the Denver Nuggets. Game 7 will take place on Saturday in L.A. Prior to the game, it was widely reported that Kobe was suffering from the flu. Of course the set up in most people’s minds was that this game would be Kobe’s equilvilent to the famous Michael Jordan Game 5 “flu game” in the 1997 NBA finals.
Not so much. In post game, Kobe described why he can’t wait for Metta World Peace to return on Saturday.

James Harden was presented with the NBA’s Sixthman of the year trophy on Thursday. He had his whole team behind him!

Knicks vs. Heat was a nail bitter to the very end. The Knicks, already thin at the guard position are now down one more. Point guard Baron Davis dislocated his knee in an elimination game 4 of the first round of the NBA playoffs.

In Game 3 of Lakers vs. Nuggets, the Nuggets came out full of energy determined not to go out like the Mavericks- and presumably the Knicks today ::giggle:: too soon? Opps.
But anyway, Nuggets forward AL Harrington suffered a broken nose while going for a rebound against Andrew Bynum. Harrington will be back in action today rocking the clear plastic mask that both Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul played in this season.

The Thunder completed the sweep of last season’s NBA champs, the Dallas Mavericks. One of the highlights of the game was the play of James Harden. During Russell Westbrook’s postgame press conference, a reporter asked Russ if he thought Harden was worth max money.

The Denver Nuggets aren’t going out like the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks. The Nuggets faced off against the Lakers Friday night in Denver. Nuggets rookie, Kenneth Faried whose known as The Manimal, JaVale McGee and Ty Lawson were huge for the team.

JR Smith is an amazing talent. If only he delivered consistently. But that’s of no matter, when he does things like this dunk from Thursday’s Heat vs. Knicks, it makes you forget the bad.
