Unlike the Seattle Seahawks, every team doesn’t have the “12th man” as fans that are screaming at the top of their lungs distracting the opponent.
The Atlanta Falcons must be one of those teams.
In the midst of Deflate-Gate, the NFL is also investigating the Falcons for allegedly using fake crowd noise in the Georgia Dome for the past two seasons.
Atlanta’s dirty birds have been accused of blasting the artificial crowd noise as the opposing team was huddling and trying to call the next play. However, some around the league are arguing that with increased use of silent counts, crowd noise is irrelevant. There is a question of whether it gave the Falcons any significant advantage.
The League is expected to take disciplinary action, with the Falcons being fined and even potentially losing a draft choice.
