First it was Greg Anthony, now Warren Sapp is the latest former athlete caught trying to pay to “play.”
This morning, NFL Network analyst and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Warren Sapp, was arrested in Phoenix and charged with soliciting a prostitute. Sapp was reportedly taken into custody at a hotel in downtown Phoenix at 7:00a.m., according to TMZ.
Sapp, who was in Phoenix to cover the Super Bowl for the NFL Network, was also charged with assault. The NFL Network has suspended Sapp without pay, and removed Sapp’s bio from the “On-air Talent” section of their website.

The NFL network has fired Warren Sapp.
“Warren Sapp’s contract has been terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network,” NFLN spokesperson Alex Riethmiller said in a statement released by the channel.
This isn’t Sapp’s first run-in with the law. In 2010, he was arrested for domestic battery, which resulted in the charges being dropped. Then in 2014, Sapp was busted for alleged domestic battery in Miami.
