Another professional athlete has been arrested for domestic violence. 25 year old Jeff Taylor of the Charlotte Hornets was arrested early Thursday morning at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place.
According to TMZ Sports, Taylor’s girlfriend was at the hotel with someone else – it was a man but so far no further details as to if it was a friend, relative, etc. Taylor was charged with one count of domestic assault, assault and malicious destruction of property. His bond was set at $5,000.
Adam Silver has recently announced the NBA is going to take a fresh look at their policies on domestic violence. Currently NBA players receive an automatic 10-game suspension if convicted of a violent felony per the CBA. Which means players can participate in games and practice until the legal system has reached their conclusion.
