Antoine Walker’s financial issues have been well documented. The former NBA all-star filed for bankruptcy in 2010 with $4 million worth of assets and $12 million worth of debt.
One of the items Walker was forced to part with was his 2006 NBA championship ring he won as a member of the Miami Heat!
The ring has been tentatively sold to a guy named Andres Garcia for a cool $21,500.
A judge needs to sign off on the deal before any money changes hands … but it’s pretty much a done deal.
I wonder how the investigation into him allegedly giving Evelyn money to hold is going. One thing that’s clear from his stint in the D-League, coming back to the NBA is NOT a reality. Hope he’s thinking about his next career move is. He can still be involved in the game of basketball but not as a player.
At least he got a ring! Maybe if things turn around the guy would be willing to sell it back.
