Twitter has been getting athletes caught up and costing them money since 2009. But, did you ever expect an NFL player’s Twitter bio to possibly cost him major $$?
That might be the case with New Orleans Saints player Jimmy Graham. The Saints put a franchise tag on Graham as a tight end. The salary for that position with the franchise tag, translates to about $7 million. Graham filed a grievance with the league, arguing that he’s really a wide receiver and that’s how he should be franchised. The difference in salary is about $5 million at around $12.7 million.
The Saints are saying not so fast Jimmy, your Twitter bio and website all list you as a “tight end.”
