Dr. Dre has confirmed that the NWA biopic, “Straight Outta Compton” is dropping in 2015. Dre posted this photo to his Twitter with a date “8/14/15” as the caption. Casting has been confirmed for the roles.
Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the late Eazy-E. O’Shea Jackson Jr., 23, will play his dad, Ice Cube. New comer Marcus Callender. will play Dr. Dre. And lastly, a 23-year-old New Orleans unknown actor named Jason Mitchell won the role of Eric “Eazy E” Wright. Wright’s widow, Tomica gave her stamp of approval on Mitchell’s casting. She’s one of the film’s producers along with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre.
