Dolphins Owner Says Team Needed to Move On From Both Brent and Miko Grimes

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross has admitted part of the reason cornerback Brent Grimes was released this offseason, has to do with his outspoken wife Miko.

Miko doesn’t believe in censoring herself and was been extremely outspoken during Brent’s time with the Dolphins. Miko’s loose style on Twitter led to her commentary becoming the news itself, reportedly didn’t mesh well with the team.

Ross told the Palm Beach Post that Miko was part of the reason for Grimes release.

“I think everybody knows what she represented. I thought it was best that the Dolphins move on from Brent and Miko,”

During the 2015 season, Miko made headlines for her Twitter profanity laced jabs at local Miami press, plus the shots at Dolphins QB Ryan Tanhill.

Brent Grimes will still be collecting an NFL check in the state of Florida. He’s been picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
