Why Ayesha Curry Had Twitter In An Uproar Saturday Night

Saturday night on Twitter, Ayesha Curry, wife of Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry sent out a couple of seemingly innocent tweets that caused a segment of Twitterverse to get so upset, the debate continued into Sunday.

Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters

Well that started a war on Twitter. Some of the more upset Tweets even went as far as to question whether or not the married mother of two had sex appeal.

Ayesha’s intention wasn’t to bash women who like to wear less and show off their bodies, she was simply adding commentary on what works for her. Somehow that developed into a battle about whether or statement was meant to degrade women who make different choices and reinforce a superiority over women who are more daring with their fashion and perhaps lifestyle choices.

She followed the outrage in her mentions up with this.

As each generation passes, a shift in the moral code is inevitable. The more you are exposed to something, the higher your level of tolerance becomes.

In 2015, some of the ethics our parents and grandparents were raised on have been traded in for new ideals and values. In some areas this is brilliant and has propelled the culture forward. But not everyone will be on the same page as to what those ideals are.

It seems odd that a woman would have to defend her choice in wanting to be a little conservative and leave something to the imagination. Is wanting to be a little more covered up the equivalent of slut shaming? Do what works for you seems to be the most obvious answer.
