Survivor’s Remorse Screening Brings out LeBron James, Drake, YG, Young Jeezy & More [Photos]

On Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, LeBron James and Maverick Carter along with Starz premiered the first two episodes of  their basketball-related comedy, Survivor’s Remorse. The show premieres October 4th on the network and centers on professional basketball star Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher) and his family after he signs a huge contract with Atlanta.


The first two episodes are extremely timely covering spanking kids, drama with old friends from the past, and dealing with the pressure of having millions and leaving friends and family behind. After the screening, there was a Q&A session moderated by TNT analyst, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, featuring LeBron and Maverick plus, executive producers Mike O’Malley and Tom Werner.

LeBron even had a cute joke when asked about the topic came of hoping the show had a multi-season run with Starz. Mav mentioned planning for season six, LeBorn decided he’d play it safe because of what happened the last time he said, “not two, not three, not four etc. championships with he arrived to Miami four years ago following the decision.

Last time I said, ‘Not one, not two, not three, not four …,’ that … didn’t go over too well,” he said

Also on hand for the premiere, the shows cast which features; Cam’s cousin and top adviser, Reggie Vaughn (RonReaco Lee); other family members: his mother, Cassie (Tichina Arnold); his sister M-Chuck (Erica Ash); and his uncle, Julius (Mike Epps). Teyonah Parris plays Reggie’s wife, Missy.

Also on hand for the screening, rappers Drake, YG and Young Jeezy, former NBA stars Baron Davis and Cuttino Mobley, Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, Karen Civil and more.
