On Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, LeBron James and Maverick Carter along with Starz premiered the first two episodes of their basketball-related comedy, Survivor’s Remorse. The show premieres October 4th on the network and centers on professional basketball star Cam Calloway (Jessie T. Usher) and his family after he signs a huge contract with Atlanta.
The first two episodes are extremely timely covering spanking kids, drama with old friends from the past, and dealing with the pressure of having millions and leaving friends and family behind. After the screening, there was a Q&A session moderated by TNT analyst, Kenny “The Jet” Smith, featuring LeBron and Maverick plus, executive producers Mike O’Malley and Tom Werner.
Last time I said, ‘Not one, not two, not three, not four …,’ that … didn’t go over too well,” he said
Also on hand for the screening, rappers Drake, YG and Young Jeezy, former NBA stars Baron Davis and Cuttino Mobley, Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, Karen Civil and more.
