“On the Come Up” is the directorial debut of Emmy-nominated actress Sanaa Lathan. Snoop Dogg hosted a private screening at his compound that included Lathan, Mike Epps, “P-Valley” star Brandee Evans, Warren G, Rap Sh!t’s Jonica Booth, and more.

“On the Come Up” tells the story of Sixteen-year-old Bri. She wants to be one of the greatest rappers of all time and complete the legacy her father started. Facing controversies and with an eviction notice staring down her family, Bri doesn’t just want to make it; she has to make it.
