We’ve seen some footage, but Sunday night during the 57th Grammy Awards telecast, the official trailer for the NWA biopic, “Straight Outta Compton” dropped. The film stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, and is directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job). The film hits theaters in August, and was produced by original N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, along with Matt Alvarez and Eazy E’s widow, Tomica Woods-Wright.
