Saturday I had the opportunity to attend digital media maven, Karen Civil’s 4th Annual Live Civil Brunch. The event was held at a private home in the Hollywood Hills. Women from all facets of the entertainment industry were in attendance.
The goal of the event was women celebrating all their varied success over the past year, and to network and build new connections.
Civil recently celebrated her 30th birthday by returning to her roots in Hati to donate $40,000 to build a playground for children.
Guests included Olympic Gold medalist Carmelia Jeter, Glee actress Amber Riley, entertainment journalist Nina Parker, singers Mila J and Sevyn Streeter, former Basketball Wives LA stars Laura Govan and Brooke Bailey, VH1 Exes Atlanta’ Torrei Hart and a host of other power women who work in radio, TV, the digital sphere and more.
