Guys admit it, wouldn’t you love to go and get weekly upkeep on your feet without feeling like you’re crashing an all-girl gathering? Screenwriter Michael Elliot – he penned “Just Wright” and “Brown Sugar” to name a few – felt that way and decided to create the ultimate man cave experience for grooming.
“I always hated going to traditional nail salons because I felt uncomfortable. Never felt like I belonged. When I spoke to some of my other guy friends they didn’t feel like they belonged either. I figured if guys had a choice, they’d come to a place like this. “
Hammer & Nails is a nail shop for men located on Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood. The decor is very masculine, almost like a loft. The environment includes; king-sized leather chairs, a classic 1953 Chevy grill, a punching bag and personal flat screen TVs – with headphones – and they serve beer! You can drop by on Sunday morning, catch the early NFL game, get a shoulder massage and your toes rubbed down.
Women are welcome too, but don’t look for gels and colors. Clear polish only or for the daring, black, blue and gray. A well groomed man is incredibly sexy!
A Manicure is $25, Pedicures are $40. There are also additional treatments available.
The Grand Opening is Saturday, November 9th at 9am.
