In honor of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson nabbing the second highest contract for a quarterback in the NFL, let’s take a look at the top QB contracts for the 2015 season.

At Number Five:
Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons – $20,750,000

Contract deets: Five years, $103,750,000 total with $42,000,000 guaranteed

The second round pick was drafted in 2008. He’s received the following career accolades: NFL Honors – AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, Best Breakthrough Athlete ESPY Award

Number four:
Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers – $20,800,000

Contract deets: Five years, $103,800,000 total with $60,000,000 guaranteed

The number one overall pick by the Panthers in the 2011 draft, Cam has set several NFL records including:

• NFL single-season record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback: 14 (2011)
• Most games in NFL history with at least 200 passing yards and 80 rushing yards with multiple touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown (4 games)

Second place might not be that bad. Two Super Bowl appearances back-to-back. Winning a ring in a blow out to #1 on the list in the first appearance, and dating singer Ciara. 2015 has been pretty cool for Russ.
