Fat Joe Reveals Identity of Knicks’ Player in Biggie’s “I Got A Story To Tell”

For years people have tried to figure out the identity of the Knicks player Biggie rapped about in “I Got a Story to Tell” from his 1997 album Life After Death. On Monday, rapper Fat Joe appeared on “Highly Questionable” and shared what he knows about the Knicks identity.

Joe pointed out that rappers exaggerate and embellish their stories for entertainment purposes, but he claims that it was Anthony Mason.

“I could tell you but I don’t want to be disrespectful… But um… It was about Anthony Mason, Rest In Peace,” “… And Ant Mason’s my brother. I love Ant Mason. But you gotta also know, that rap is entertainment. We stretch the truth. We change things up,”

Mason was known as an enforcer on the court in the 90’s. He passed away in February at the age of 48 from a massive heart attack.

In 2014 the show had former Knicks’ guard John Starks who said he knew the identity of the teammate was but wouldn’t say the name. He just cleared up the rumor that it was him.

Jadakiss  was asked the same question.  He said he didn’t know who it was but he narrowed it down to three players, Anthony Mason, Derek Harper or Larry Johnson.

Mystery finally solved…maybe
