They say change is good. And after 17 years in existence, the WNBA is upgrading a few things. Out with the old logo, that resembled Jerry West (the NBA’s logo) in a 1960’s June Cleaver wig. And into an orange and white more current silhouette, that features a female hooper hitting a layup with the WNBA’s favorite look, a ponytail. Much more modern and continuing to forge the leagues identity outside of their male counterpart.
In addition to announcing a new logo, the WNBA has also extended their partnership with ESPN for another six years. make sure you check the ladies out on ESPN and ABC networks when the season kicks off May 24th!
