Skylar Diggins becomes 1st WNBA athlete to sign with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports

More Roc Nation Sports news… YES! “The Takeover” isn’t just a song in Jay-Z’s catalog. Jay and Roc Nation Sports hit the ground running. Already picking up signings in Baseball with Robinson Canoe, the NFL with Victor Cruz, Roc Nation has now moved over to the WNBA by signing the #3 draft pick, Skylar Diggins.

Diggins is arguably the most marketable star in the WNBA since Candace Parker for the type of partnerships I envision “The Roc” forming. As has been demonstrated in the past by Lil Wayne rocking Skylar’s jersey, Diggins has the potential to for crossover appeal outside of women’s sports. Just last week Kobe Bryant suggested that Skylar should come on board with Nike under the Mamba and be the first WNBA representative for his shoe.

I see why the other agents are a little uncomfortable with all this.
