Roc Nation Sports opened its doors for business a few months ago and went on a client signing frenzy. The moves being made caused a ripple throughout the sports agency world. Now comes the announcement of their first endorsement deal for the first client on board with “the Roc.” New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano has signed a deal with Pepsi to be the face of its national Major League Baseball marketing campaign.
Cano’s spot will make its debut on Tuesday, during the MLB’s All-Star Game. Cano is starting in the game for the American League.
“He represents the kind of athlete who is in the moment, has a great personality and connects with consumers”
Pepsi also recently inked a new deal with Jay Z’s wife Beyonce which made her the highest paid endorser in the company’s history.
