Estranged Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has appealed his indefinite suspension from the NFL. Rice’s attorneys angle will be based on the idea that TMZ’s tape was edited. And the NFL’s decision to suspended him after penalties had already been given was a violation of the CBA.
When TMZ initially posted the video, they also included footage that was raw and a bit jerky. They acknowledged that fact and made both available for viewing.
Ultimately, Rice should be able to play next season. He also should be in some sort of treatment and services extended to his wife. The NFL mishandled the situation, but at this point we can only hope for change in the future.
