With the end of the season, it’s time for teams to clean house, reassess their assets and plan for the draft in June. The rumors started a few days ago and now there’s confirmation via the Akron Beacon Journal that Byron Scott has been fired by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over the last three seasons, Scott coached the Cavs to a losing 64-165 record. By contrast, Lebron James’ new team boasted 65 wins in ONE season.
Scott wasn’t the only head coach fired the day after the season ended. Detroit Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank was dismissed after two seasons with the franchise. Frank guided the Pistons to a 29-53 mark this season and was 54-94 overall.
