Adding to the worst season in Lakers franchise history, per the New York Post, Phil Jackson has agreed in principal to an executive position with the New York Knicks.
The Zen Master gave a verbal commitment over the weekend. His title will be “president” and he’ll be responsible for the Knicks basketball operations staff. He reportedly is set to earn $15 million. The lawyers are finalizing contract details and an announcement is expected at the end of the week.
The Knicks drafted Phil and he won two NBA titles with the Knicks as a player.
