Pacers big man Roy Hibbert was fined $75,000 for his comments following Saturday night’s Game 6 win over the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Hibbert dropped a “no homo” reference during his post game press conference when describing how the Heat were defending him. The current climate does not allow for anything that remotely resembles a “gay slur” plus, Hibbert also used profanity in his live streaming press conference in reference to the media. Just an all around bad show of judgement in the wake of forcing a game 7.
I think the $75,000 fine was a tad much but David Stern wants the message loud and clear the NBA isn’t playing games when it comes to inappropriate comments.
Now that this incident is handled, game 7 is Monday night in Miami. Who you got?
