Dwight Howard doesn’t look to be fully healed from his April back surgery. With the Lakers season getting dimmer, they’ve loss nine of their last 11 games, Jarrod Rudolph of Real GM has said the Nets are ready to make a move for Dwight Howard again. According to Rudolph the Nets are planning to bring in a third team to make the trade a reality.
This is the rumored trade Rudolph said the Nets are pursuing:
Nets general manager Billy King was confident that he had a trade proposal that was a perfect fit for all teams involved.
According to sources, King was planning to contact the Minnesota Timberwolves in order to gauge their interest in a three-team trade that would send Kevin Love to the Lakers, Brook Lopez to the Timberwolves and Dwight Howard to the Nets. Other small pieces would need to be included, but the proposed trade was thought to be intriguing enough to start conversations in the Lakers front office that would force them to deal with Howard earlier than planned.
Wow, we’ve heard that Kevin Love is interested in coming to LA but is it too soon to give up on Dwight as the future of the Lakers? How does Howard feel about D’Antoni? With D’Antoni making Pau Gasol a permanent part of the second unit and Pau clearly unhappy, does it make more sense for the Lakers to move him if they plan on keeping the current head coaching selection?
And then there’s the other question, is any change that’s out there really impactful enough to save the Lakers season? Is a first round exit IF they make it to the playoffs enough to say that this season wasn’t a bust?
The Lakers soap opera continues.
**UPDATE**
The Nets have come out said there is no truth to this rumor.
In an email, received minutes after NetsDaily reported on the rumor, the source wrote, “Total BS, Jarrod What ever His Name Is just fabricated a story.” The response was extraordinary and unprecedented in its speed and aggressiveness.
