Looks like NBA’s David Stern isn’t the only Commissioner calling it a career in 2014. MLB’s top dog, Bud Selig has announced that he’ll be retiring following the 2014 season, officially stepping down in January 2015. Selig has been with Major League Baseball since 1992 and was officially elected as the ninth Commissioner by unanimous vote in 1998.
During his tenure, Selig saw a players strike in 1994 end the season in August with no World Series, changes to the All-Star Game that give the home-field advantage in the World Series to the league that wins the game and of course, Steroids.
