A few months ago some Dodgers fans started a website encouraging Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to purchase the L.A. Dodgers. The franchise is currently embroiled in a financial and the centerpiece of the divorce case between current owners Frank and Jamie McCourt.
Cuban said on Tuesday that he’s interested and will take a look at the franchise to see if it’s worth the investment. His concern is that the the organization appears to be so messed up financially, that it could be impossible to turn around.
I hope not, I’m not a huge baseball fan but obviously when I do indulge, it’s the Dodgers I root for. I’ve always admired Mark Cuban’s ownership model. I know some felt in his early years he was far to involved for an owner but his passion turned into an NBA championship franchise.
