Are you ready for the next merger of Sports and Entertainment? Business mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and actor/producer Mark Wahlberg have announced a joint venture with Southern California-based fitness and wellness water brand, AQUAhydrate.
The new arrangement will have Diddy and the ex- Markie Mark overseeing the business strategy along with CEO John Cochran, formerly President of Fiji Water. The brand has already inked an official partnership with the Los Angeles Clippers.
AQUAhydrate is a high performance water without the sugar and calories found in traditional sports drinks or vitamin enhanced beverages. The product’s combination of performance-grade electrolytes and a higher pH level of 9+
Expect a heavy social media push. Diddy has demonstrated with his Ciroc brand that he can spark movements via social media. Diddy created a movement with Ciroc via Twitter. He even gave it a crew name, “Ciroc Boys.” Mixing that with Mark Wahlberg’s Hollywood connects should be an interesting connection.
