The Brooklyn Nets have a new head coach. In the wake of Jason Kidd’s swift departure to the Milwaukee Bucks, The Nets have quickly snatched up former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins.
The Nets finished sixth in the east, are on the verge of losing Paul Pierce, and have already lost Shaun Livingston to the Golden State Warriors.
Hollins clashed with the new ownership group of the Memphis Grizzlies two seasons ago – hello Mark Jackson, sounds familiar. Owners don’t care if you’re winning if you aren’t rolling with their agenda. – Hollins didn’t coach anywhere in the ’13-’14 season. His name has been attached to several open head coaching positions the past two seasons including the Clippers, Nuggets and Lakers.
