The Lakers have taken a page out of the “new NBA” handbook and started an all out campaign to get Dwight Howard to return to the Los Angeles Lakers. Dwight wants to be woo’d and the Lakers are putting on the hard court press in social media and around LA with billboards asking Dwight Howard to stay and started a hash tag, #StayD12.

The Miami Heat did a similar campaign for Dwyane Wade back in 2010, even creating a billboard that looked like a contract and placing it near Wade’s home. Some are mad that the Lakers are “begging” for Dwight Howard but doesn’t this move just follow what the current culture in the NBA is.
