Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce traded to the Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets will have a new rookie coach at the start of next season in Jason Kidd, who is not even a year removed from the hardwood. They also will have two veteran all-stars from the Eastern Conference added to their roster. Celtics all-stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will no longer rock with the luck of the Irish as the two have been traded to the Nets.

Paul Pierce wanted to retire a Celtic and be one of the few players to stay with one team his entire career in the “new” NBA. But Boston was in rebuilding mode, their coach moved on to the West Coast. There was talk of KG and the truth joining Doc on the Clippers but NBA commissioner David Stern made it clear, that wasn’t going down.
