Jeb Bush And Chris Christie Tackle Fantasy Football During Republican Debate

On Wednesday night the Republican debate veered a bit left and jumped into the debate on fantasy sports. Towards the end of the debate, Ex-Florida governor Jeb Bush was asked whether he believes fantasy football is gambling and should be subjected to federal regulation.

Jeb Bush’s response included his 7-0 record, and praise of Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski.

“I’m doing great, but we’re not gambling,” Bush then indicated he does believe some type of regulation is needed, but not at the federal level.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie interrupted … and went off.

“Are we really talking about getting the federal government involved in fantasy football? Wait a second. We have $19 trillion in debt. We have people out of work, we have ISIS and Al Qaeda attacking us and we’re talking about fantasy football? Can we stop? Can we stop? How about this? How about we get the government to do what they’re supposed to be doing? Secure our borders, protect our people and support American values and American families. Enough on fantasy football. Let people play, who cares?”
