Drake announces he’s joined Brand Jordan [video]

Drake continues to dip his toe in the sports arena. First there was the announcement that he’s become an ambassador for The Toronto Raptors. Tuesday night, during his recent tour stop in Portland – home to Nike and the Jordan brand… actually Adidas too but I digress – Drizzy announced his new partnership with the Jordan brand.

 

Growing up I’m sure we all idolized this guy. He goes by the name of Michael Jordan,” Drake tells the crowd. “So today I came to Portland, and I officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family.”

Meanwhile, Kanye West’s $10 million deal with Adidas has officially been announced.

“For 2014, we welcome to the adidas family one of the most influential cultural icons of this generation, Kanye West,” Adidas said in a statement on Tuesday (December 3). “Well known for breaking boundaries across music, film and design and partnering with our history in street wear culture and leading innovations in sport, we look forward to creating a new chapter.
