Add producer to the list of credits for former NBA All Star and TNT analyst Chris Webber. His Webber/Gilbert Media Group is competing at Sundance film festival in Park City, Utah with Unexpected, a film about a Chicago inner-city teacher who discovers she’s pregnant and forms a bond with a student who’s in a similar, but very different situation.
The film is the first from the Webber/Gilbert Media Group. CWebb met Peter Gilbert – his parter – back in 1994 when Gilbert was creating the basketball documentary Hoop Dreams. Per Deadline, the company will focused on producing features and documentaries plus live events, cultural exhibitions, and music projects.
