Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is at it again. This time Gilbert sent an e-mail to David Stern listing out the reasons why the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers was “unfair” and how the team would actually save $40 million dollars in the trade which was unfair because of the $21 million dollars the rest of the teams would miss out on in revenue sharing. Remember what I said all along, the lockout was more about owners beefing with each other…
This trade should go to a vote of the 29 owners of the Hornets.
I just don’t see how we can allow this trade to happen.
I know the vast majority of owners feel the same way that I do.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
An NBA spokesman said owners “didn’t kill the deal,” instead citing “basketball reasons,” for why the league office blocked the trade.
The odd thing about all of this. I thought the Hornets were actually getting a lot in return. Luis Scola and Kevin Martin from the Rockets plus Odom and the young pieces left on the Hornets (Jarrett Jack, Okafor) I thought it was a fair trade. Especially when you consider that LA was left with an oft-injured Andrew Bynum (yes, I know that may have turned into Dwight Howard but nothing is guaranteed… Clearly)
Plus, everyone knows that Lamar is extremely sensitive. When his head isn’t together it shows up on the court. Who wants a sensi Lam lam and an equally tender Pau Gasol. Sigh…
Apparently neither Chris Paul or Lamar Odom will show up for their respective training camps tomorrow. But back to Dan Gilbert and his comic sans font, he is the poster child for Bitter B****es EVERYWHERE!
