No matter what happens when the Brooklyn Nets take the court this fall, their home arena, The Barclays Center, is already set to cash in. American Express has struck a five-year deal with the Nets to become a founding partner. The deal is estimated to be worth more than $2 million annually. Check the details:
Who loses in this deal? The Knicks. Amex was previously the sponsor for the Knicks and Madison Square Garden. Other sponsors for the Nets and Barclays center include, MetroPCS, Ticketmaster, Calvin Klein, Foxwoods Resort Casino and Stolichnaya vodka.
