What’s In Rudy Gay’s Closet?

Memphis Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay has been missing in action for awhile (not literally he was just injured) Gay is coming off of shoulder surgery so the upside to the lockout is that he has more time to get fully healed. I’m sure it killed him to not be on the floor for the Grizzlie’s playoff run last season. ESPN the magazine recently caught up with him to check out his closet and see what some of his favorite pieces were:

FEDORA
“When I was little, my grandpa told me to wear hats because body heat escapes through your head. I’ve been wearing them ever since. This fedora, by Bailey of Hollywood, is my beach look. I bought it while vacationing in Puerto Rico two years ago.”

I LOVE a classic fedora. One of my signature “go to” looks.

SCARF
“It doesn’t get too cold in Memphis, but scarves are a good accessory for guys. My dad gave this one to me, but it’s the ugliest thing I’ve seen in my life. I rarely wear it, but my dad got it for me, so I have to show it off.”

TIE
“Confession: I wear only one tie. I have no clue how to tie them, and this one is already knotted. I own others, but I always have to base my outfit on this one. I can’t even have it dry-cleaned because they’d probably undo the knot.”

Someone should probably upgrade him with new ties (and knot them for him)

LUGGAGE
“I carry a Goyard bag. It’s indestructible. I picked it up at their store in San Francisco when we played the Warriors last year. I’ll let you in on a little secret: Goyard is older than Louis Vuitton.”

WATCHES
“I received my Tiffany watch as a gift from USA Basketball this summer. I’m addicted to watches. Most of mine are automatic, so they tick when I move them. I have no idea who makes the case I store them in, but it keeps them secure and still.”
