Watch Retired Seahawks Marshawn Lynch Face The Elements On Running Wild with Bear Grylls

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch seems to be enjoying his retired lifestyle. Last June Marshawn shot an iconic episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls.

The show is almost like a remix of Grylls’ Man vs Wild. In this episode, the British adventure and Lynch trek through the Corsican Mountains in France. The pair have two days to travel through the mountains while using the elements to hold it down. We get to see them hunt down a wild hog for dinner, and how one of Lynch’s dreads help light a fire. You already know this was an instant classic.

“Bruh cut off one of my dreads to start a campfire,” Lynch says. “And was juiced about it, ‘Like oh my God, this is the best thing since sliced bread!'”

Lynch and Grylls also build tents out of tree branches and boughs to survive the night. Grylls’ turns out to be a bit more roomy, protective, and comfortable than Lynch’s, but Beast Mode respectfully declines an invitation to swap their makeshift living spaces.

“I kind of feel this one is really made for you,” says Grylls. “I think I should be out there.”

To which Lynch replies: “I’m a guest in your home, I don’t mind taking the guest room. I don’t deserve the master suite.”
