Having a great nickname can only add to your legend as an NBA player. Miami Heat’s Udonis Haslem has decided to give himself a new moniker for the remainder of the season. DJango.
UD, wait excuse me, DJango, has adopted his new alter ego from the recently released Quentin Tarantino film “Django Unchained.” The flick which is part slavery tale, love story and spaghetti western, tells the story of a former slave that becomes a bounty hunter and embarks on an adventure to free his wife.
From now on, Haslem says no longer wants to be called Udonis or ‘UD’. He said address him in 2013 as Django, FWIW.
