Throwbacks: Jocks love R&B chicks; Left Eye & Andre Rison [photos]

Athletes love R&B chicks. We can look at any number of hook ups over the past few years. Amaré Stoudemire and Ciara – before he went back to his kids’ mother and married her- Daniel “Boobie” Gibson and Keyshia Cole, Suns Shannon Brown and his wife Monica, Even Knicks guard Iman Shumpert had his celebrity chick upgrade with Elle Varner.

But one of the originals was briefly highlighted on Monday night in VH1’s movie based on the career of super group TLC, “Crazy Sexy Cool.” As the group was ascending to the heights of stardom, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes met her athlete boo, Atlanta Falcons wr Andre Rison. We all know the story of Lisa burning down his Atlanta mansion after coming home and discovering Andre’s cheating a$$ had stayed out all night AND went shopping for Nikes and didn’t bring Lisa any pain killers – goodies to ease the pain of his bad behavior.

They stayed together for years after the fire but ultimately proved to be too toxic for one another, but they sure did ooze sex appeal.
