In honor of Throwback Thursday, Let’s take it back to 1995. The urban classic film “Friday” dropped staring Ice Cube, Chris Tucker and Nia Long. In a cast full of memorable characters, one has re-entered the pop culture lexicon. Remember Nia Long’s crackhead sister Felisha in the film? When people wanted to dismiss a ridiculous request from her, they simply hit her with “Bye Felisha.”
This term has resurfaced – with a changed spelling to “Felicia” and the actress that played her is connected to the sporting world. Wednesday was signing day and University of Miami recruit QB Brad Kaaya just happens to be the son of Angela Means-Kaaya – the actress that played Felisha.
