The Assist: Jay Z & Kobe Bryant flick up at Staples Center [photos]

Jay Z might rep all things Brooklyn, including the Nets but that doesn’t mean he won’t sit courtside at Staples Center and high five Kobe Bryant. Jay was in attendance on Sunday as the Lakers took on the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kobe Bryant flirted with a triple-double for the second game in a row ending the afternoon one rebound short. It’s also the second consecutive game that he scored 14 assists. Mamba Johnson???

I think Kobe should average double-digit assists for the rest of the season, just because he can. Add a new layer to your game in season 17, why not!

I also think this is a perfect opportunity to drop a Jay lyric.

“You don’t even know me, and you mad/ How it feel to be a hater?/ Now I know exactly how it feel to be a Laker” – Jay Z Bump, Bump, Bump freestyle
