49’ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha secretly married “Scandal” actress Kerry Washington early this summer. Nnamdi is back in camp trying to earn his roster spot with the Niners and Kerry is back to work also, hitting the red carpet last weekend for the Television Critics Association’s Summer Press Tour Disney/ABC party in Beverly Hills on Sunday, Aug. 4.

Washington has received her first prime time Emmy Award nomination for her role as Olivia Pope on the ABC show, “Scandal.” The awards will take place on September 22nd in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, although the Niners lost CB Chris Culliver to a torn ACL for the season, Asomugha’s roster spot isn’t locked up. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio suggested that Asomugh is on the bubble.

“We didn’t really know what we were getting when we got Nnamdi. He’s had some good days out here and some days where you weren’t sure if he was going to still have it,” Fangio said, via The Associated Press. “I think we’re kind of in between with him right now. Hopefully he’ll be able to still have some gas left in his tank to go out there and play like he did prior to going to Philadelphia. So, I think the jury is still out there.”
